CR and Johanna, Married!

On a spectacular, fresh autumn day on the 10th of November , CR Hyde and Johanna Nelson were married.  The venue, set on the grounds of a historic hilltop mansion, was spectacular, commanded panoramic views over the Tucson valley and nearby Catalina Mountains.  More than 150 people had gathered, family and friends from far and wide, who had traveled from nearby and afar to witness the big event.

CR and Johanna looked, predictably, gorgeous. They were flanked by an impressive wedding party, a dozen strong, all boldly dapper and softly elegant. But the bride and groom stood apart, basking in the glow of the late afternoon Sonoran sun. Once the vows were exchanged, the celebrations began, with cocktails around the pool, followed by a full plated dinner, served under  tents in the lower gardens. After heartfelt toasts were made, the band fired up and played an impressive range of soul, R&B, and Disco classics.  They were one of the best I’d heard at any wedding. CR and Johanna mixed and mingled and danced their way into the night, surrounded by friends and family. A fun time was had by all.

As destination weddings go, Tucson in November is hard to beat.  And this one certainly didn’t disappoint. CR and Johanna, with strong support from their family and friends, pulled off a masterful event.   I was  honored to be the official photographer, and somehow managed to shoot an impressive 1,400 images. Though the editing process was painful, I’ve compile a decent highlights gallery, the results of which you’ll find below. Please enjoy, and if you click into an image, you’ll be able to order prints that will ship to you directly from my preferred lab.

Congratulations to CR and Johanna!  Thanks for such a memorable weekend. Here’s to health and happiness, good times, and cute children. Live large and prosper.
