23 May 2013- Last of the Lake Dillon Ice

The sun sets over a recently thawed Lake Dillon, as remnant ice packs its way against the SE shore.
A couple strolls along the shores of Lake Dillon, bundled up but no doubt enjoying a classic alpine sunset. Below normal spring temperatures and increased snowfall have extended the season for skiing, and prolonged the ice on the lake. Seen here in the foreground is the remnants of pack ice, pushed up against the Eastern shoreline.
