Event photography requires the discipline and attentiveness of a seasoned journalist. You must play the dual role of both participant and observer, place yourself in the action without altering it, connect with people and put them at ease, or at times slip into the woodwork unnoticed. It's something of a dance really, and absolutely thrilling!

Landscape photography is a cup of chamomile tea, event photography a double shot of espresso.

Event photography requires that you blanket the event, from grand scenic to close-up, striving to tell the story and capture underlying emotions. It demands every skill in the photographer's bag: portraiture, action, still life, landscape. Its exhausting work, but I never grow tired of it. At the end of the long day, I collapse flat on my bed. My mind resonates with the richness of the experience. With any luck, so do the images

Cultural arts have become a specialty of my photographic work. I'm often contracted by the event organizers to document all aspects of the performance. With this experience comes a more professional approach and the ability to temper the quest for images with due respect for performers and audience.

Wedding photography has become a vital part of my business. I employ a candid, journalistic style to photographing weddings, providing personal, professional service at an affordable price.
