Fri 16 Jul 2004 Radisson SAS Hotel Galway, Galway, Ireland Ambassadors of cajun culture, the extraordinary Beausoleil brought their trademark brand of swamp boogie to Galway as part of the Galway Arts Festival. Despite repeatedly being coaxed to dance, the audience was initially lukewarm. But by the end of the show the dance floor was boiling over with enthusiastic converts, thanks in large measure to the mastery and contagious enthusiasm of fiddler Michael Doucet. |
