I entitled this image "Four Walls Countless Stories" imagining the families whose lives passed through this now abandoned cottage. Affluence brings progress. Though once something of a blight on the landscape these forlorn old cottages are slowly disappearing. For tourists such windows into the past may become more scarce. But most locals might not miss these symbols of harder times. |
