Sat 27 May 2000 Seattle Center Seattle, WA, USA Walking into the expansive and chaotic Center House during the annual Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle, this shot came to me like a slap across the face. Folk dancers swirled around piper, while tentative participants framed the fringes. I ran upstairs, muscled through crowds, perched camera on railing and held my breath.... for days, until the film finally came home! |
