I cannot imagine traveling without a camera in my hand. Photography transforms a journey from passive tour to active adventure. It drags you from bed in the morning and keeps you out late at night. Photography propels you beyond your comfort zone, sparking conversations and opening doors to experiences you'd never otherwise have.

Arise in Istanbul before the morning prayer to behold the minarets of the Blue Mosque outlining the soft light of dawn. Follow the notes of some Gypsy fiddle music and get swept into a night of dancing and merriment with your new best Turkish friends. It goes like that, traveling with a camera and a bit of curiosity.

These galleries celebrate travel and discovering new places through the viewfinder of a camera. There's a brilliant symbiosis between travel and photography: one fuels the other. Images pull us forward, sparking our curiosities for a place and desire to experience it for our own. Hopefully these images might inspire you toward similar journeys.
